Evening chess classes at Deep River and Allen Jay Recreation Center! Join Square One Chess at High Point recreation centers, expanding the community of chess in the triad. Classes offered for beginner and intermediate players.

$65 for four classes

Beginner students will be walked through the basics of the game with the goal having students play through entire matches.

Our intermediate students will dive into tactics, checkmating patterns and deeper understandings of positions.

Join us for our semesterly FREE scholastics tournament!

Saturday, October 3rd at The North Carolina Leadership Academy in Kernersville.

Players will have the opportunity to compete in a 4 round, unrated tournament of 10+0 time control. Students from different schools will team up and face each other head to head for trophies and medals! The top 3 schools will bring trophies back to their campus to display proudly in their halls.

This is a non-elimination tournament. Every player will play all 4 rounds regardless of their results. Students are not divided by school, age or skill level during pairings.
